The Abilene Chamber of Commerce and McMurry University Center for Free Enterprise and Entrepreneurship are excited to bring this event to the Abilene community. If you are an entrepeneur searching for a way to connect with other entrepreneurs to discover solutions for small business needs, this is for you! Started by the Ewin Marion Kauffman Foundation, this is a free program designed to educate, engage and inspire entrepreneurs over coffee. There will be a 20-minute presentation from a local entrepreneur who will present their business. The remaining 40 minutes of the event will be dedicated to informal networking with other entrepreneurs and students. Free coffee and light refreshments will be served.

The Grace Museum's doors are open, and the safety and well-being of visitors, volunteers, and staff remain their highest priority. As they continue to monitor the coronavirus (COVID-19) situation, they are taking many precautions to prevent the spread of germs, including increasing the number of daily cleanings and availability of hand sanitation. Public areas continue to be cleaned daily, and we are increasing the frequency of cleanings throughout high-touch and high-traffic areas. Out of an abundance of caution for our guests, the Children’s Museum on the second floor will be temporarily closed beginning March 16th through the end of the month

From the Gibson Girl to the Flapper, women's fashion evolution from the early 1900s to the 1920s in the United States was due to new economic and social factors for women. These three decades were a defining time as many women fought for the right to vote, joined the work force during World War I, and changed the traditional social norms for women from the previous century.

The art of David McManaway (1927-2010) has an underground cult following. Research for this exhibition and numerous conversations with his friends and colleagues tell us that he would be pleased by this state of affairs. But, many McManaway collectors and former colleagues lament the apparent lack of credit his work has received since his passing in 2010. The mission to spotlight McManaway’s life and work in a solo exhibition has officially become a cause célèbre. This exhibition presents a long overdue review of important work from his prodigious 50-year career to reexamine his role as a major artist and influencer in Texas and beyond.
